Trim & Pinch Reunite for Gritty New Track “Smoke” – First Taste of Their Incoming EP No Caller ID
Grime icon Trim and bass alchemist Pinch are back in the lab—and the results are seismic. Their new track, “Smoke,” is the first blast from their upcoming EP, No Caller ID, dropping April 18 via Tectonic, just in time for the label’s 20th anniversary. And yeah—it hits hard.
This isn’t their first rodeo. From “Big Slug” with Riko Dan to deep cuts on Pinch’s Reality Tunnels and collabs with Neffa-T, their chemistry is undeniable. Each time they link up, they stretch grime and dubstep’s outer limits—and “Smoke” is no different.
Trim’s lyrical sharpness and Pinch’s heavyweight production make for a deadly combo. Think atmosphere, emotion, and raw energy wrapped in sub-bass pressure.
“Each track is a different emotion I’ve lived,” says Trim. “Rob (Pinch) challenged me—made me bring my A-game. This isn’t just 140. It’s deeper. It’s real.”
Pinch agrees: “Trim’s one of the most powerful lyricists out there. His words cut deep. This EP is about capturing a vibe—one that reflects our roots in grime and dubstep, but lives on the fringes. That’s where we thrive.”
If No Caller ID is anything like “Smoke,” expect something bold, boundary-pushing, and fully dialed in.
