EXCLUSIVE — KAPPA Launch Global “WINNING STARTS WITHIN” Campaign
In this sequel to Kappa’s ‘KEEP PERFORMING’ Campaign, the brand looks deeper into the mindset of inspirational ‘winners’ from all areas of life. This storytelling series highlights the passion and pride evoked from overcoming some of life’s most difficult challenges - and what it truly means to win.
To some people winning is about coming first, but to others it’s about just being able to smile. Whether you train, work or fight towards your goals, to overcome anything is a win. Those who have achieved their dreams will have done so with many hurdles: the pain and the passion will never be forgotten, but the result is a pleasure like no other! These infectious stories of pride and success will inspire others forever, and KAPPA want to share these valuable displays of courage and wisdom with as many people as possible.
Tattoos are often a marker of personal stories: a message to be remembered forever. The process of getting a tattoo also provides a rare opportunity to open up and talk, you put all your trust into a stranger whilst discussing the meaning behind the ink. This process is often seen as an unorthodox form of therapy, a passionate and heartfelt exchange for both parties.
To illustrate this, the campaign is headed up by established stick and poke tattooist Patrick Bates. Based out of his Brighton Studio ‘Alright Tattoo’, the scene was set for people to talk, get tattooed and try on KAPPA’s new season all at the same time.
The campaign launches five different stories from different backgrounds, including Patrick Bates (Tattooist), Manhoor (Footballer), Leo (Entrepreneur), Yvon (Singer), Tiarna (Aerialist/Firefighter) and many other volunteers with their own stories who tattooed - in real time - Winning Starts Within on their skin.
With this campaign, KAPPA aim to inspire a new generation, redefining what it means to be a winner.
