EDWIN AW23 NOCTURNAL WANDERINGS

EDWIN pays homage to Tokyo's nighttime mystique to welcome the new season, where garments play with light and shadow, mirroring the city's radiant neon landscapes. This collection embodies nocturnal wanderers shedding their daytime roles, embracing authenticity in the underground and escaping their daily worries in the luminous labyrinth.

A slacker-grunge aesthetic merges with Tokyo's vibrant subculture, capturing the enigmatic energy of the night, through the theme TRACK + REWIND Vibrant coloured asphalt and lines on the ground. Varsity colour ways and sporting regalia. Turning up late but still finishing first. Track + Rewind turns back the clock, presenting a view of vintage phys-ed style from an elevated standpoint.Championing speed, the collection centres around an entirely new hue – a rich, glowing red with orange undertones, inspired by 70s and 80s track and field uniforms. Paired with contrasting black denim, the colour features across several reversible pieces including a padded jacket, tote bag and bucket hat, alongside the Carpenter Pant to match.

COLDER TERRAIN

With every step comes a fresh horizon. Tracing the colours and contours of cold desert lands, Colder Terrain plays with palette and texture to unveil new territories. Inspired by stone, sand, ice, and sky, the collection pairs earthen beiges and browns with freezing blues, and creates visions of blurred mountain landscapes abstracted in print. Texture, too, merges with landscape – undulating corduroy features across the Ander Shirt and Sly Pant, emphasised further still by the billowing nature of the Attakai Puffa Jacket. These are pieces not just inspired by the elements, but made to embrace them, with thick plaid overshirts, twill trousers, and high-necked sweaters to layer under thick, padded outerwear piesces

NOCTURNAL WANDERINGS

An ode to Tokyo after dark, Nocturnal Wanderings delves deep into the shadows to find the light. This is a city as vibrant by night as it is by day – but it takes the expert eye of a true urban explorer to uncover it, navigating the darkest backstreets to find the brightest signs of life. Symbolic of this, the collection embraces a palette of shady black and blue, discreetly spiked with electric colour and unforeseen prints. Unzip the Boreal Jacket to find a flash of neon green, or turn to the black-laser green of the Sebastian Shirt, Hiji Cardigan and Tyrell Pants for a nod to neon signage reflected on oil-slicked alleys

TONAL MILITARY

The backbone of the Autumn/Winter 2023 collection continues to exemplify solid military EDWIN. An archetypal army colour palette decorates this entire capsule with shades of “Kombu Green” and “Iceberg Green” complemented by black basics with fresh new textures. This season, the camo is reworked with with subtle laser etching to elevate green overdyed denim pieces
