Say hello to Ljubljana / #LJFW

When the invite floated into our inbox - 'Ljubljana Invitation' immediately intrigued, first thought ''Where is that?'' A quick Google search realised it's the capital of Slovenia.

Bags packed, Easter week headed to Ljubljana to discover the city and attend its very own fashion week LJFW.

Over the course of a week - we explored the small but lively green city. Yes you read right Ljublijana is one Europe's greenest, most sustainable city - found it rather cool that the centre of Ljubljana is traffic free so it's easy to meander and explore.

OUR FAVES

Nebo Show Restaurant

A buzzy restaurant with performances Tuesday-Saturday - very reminiscent of UK party restaurants like Bagatalle, MNKY House and co.

Ljubljana Castle

A must visit - once a medieval fortress such a great way to get a stunning aerial view of Ljubljana and if you have a moment the screening room talks you through the extensive history of the castle. Lucky us during the private tour, we had the chance to visit the vineyard and sample some local red/white wine.

Jan Brovč - LJFW Designer

One of the stand out designers during fashion week - his collection was fresh, in your face and full of clashing crazy textures/patterns. Jan's pieces are perfect for fashion editorials and  to be worn for festivals/concerts

LFJW

Speaking of - so this was the 13th edition takes place over 4 days, over 40 designers from Slovenia and neighbouring countries showcased.

IT was a pleasure to witness- curious new talent and look forward to using some of the designs in future editorials.

There is still so much of Ljubljana we did not see, so definitely revisiting!
