Hi, how are you?
Great!
What's been happening in your life now that your getting all this well deserved light on you?
A lot has changed over time which is quite exciting. It’s been more tedious than it used to be, my garden is filled with more flowers.
What's does it feel like, having so many people dancing and creating choreography to your songs?
It’s a blessing, it brings me so much joy seeing different people from all age brackets and backgrounds doing the dance. A dance I came up with a day before the ‘Overdose' video shoot is what is uniting people and bringing joy to them, it’s really fulfilling seeing the love and acceptance even beyond what I envisaged.
How did your fans plus your family + friends back home in Ebonyi react to all your success?
I have a lot of relatives in Ebonyi as my parents are from there but I was born and raised in Lagos. The fact that they count my win as their win is graceful. I have relatives I haven’t spoken with in years calling to say how much they are proud of me. All of my friends know how much I’ve worked to get here. Even my mom will call to say how proud she is of me, gisting me about everywhere she goes people call her “mama starboy”, same with my dad. My loved ones are equally excited it’s beautiful!
What is your vision for the next 5 years?
I just want to keep doing this art I love so much. Put out good music, evolve, venture into other things where my passion lies and just live life according to my own truth.

Who would you like to collaborate with inside and outside of the continent ?
I have a really long list, I’ll love to work with Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Swae Lee etc. I believe my music is colourful so I’ll like to blend cultures and sounds moving forward.
What's the funniest DM you've received ?
“Baby, let’s fly out somewhere and get married” I thought that was crazy and funny.
Ijo (Laba Laba) is blowing up right now, what's next for the dance floor?
I’m excited, grateful to the fans for the love and support so far but this is just the beginning of greater things to come!
